An der Technischen Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe (TH OWL) forscht Professor Johannes Üpping zum Energiemanagement und elektrischen Speichertechnologien.
At the OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts (TH OWL) Professor Johannes Üpping conducts research on energy management and electrical storage technologies.
Berufstätigkeit / Employment:
Nach Anschluss seiner Promotion stieg Üpping bei Stiebel Eltron ein. Hier konzentrierte er sich auf das Energiemanagement mit Photovoltaikanlagen und Wärmepumpen. An der HS OWL wurde er Ende 2015 zu der Professur "Elektrische Energietechnik" berufen und ist seither in Lemgo tätig.
After completing his doctorate, Üpping joined Stiebel Eltron. Here he concentrated on energy management with photovoltaic systems and heat pumps. At TH OWL he was appointed to the professorship "Electrical Power Engineering" at the end of 2015 and has been working in Lemgo since then.
Akademische Ausbildung / Academic education:
Üpping studierte Physik an der Universität Paderborn und beschäftigte sich bereits hier mit den Themen Erneuerbare Energien und Optik. In seiner Promotion untersuchte er optische Filter für photovoltaische Anwendungen.
Üpping studied physics at the University of Paderborn and already dealt with the topics of renewable energies and optics. In his doctorate, he examined optical filters for photovoltaic applications.
