Fabian Kottmeier

Research focus

Fabian Kottmeier conducts research into mechatronic systems (e.g. MONOCAB monorail vehicles). The focus here is on a model-based design process, which, starting from the requirements, conception and pre-development, through design and implementation to testing using HIL, relies on a consistent further development of the simulation models used. The combination of model-based design processes with agile project management enables resource-efficient and target-orientated development for complex research questions.

Professional career

Kottmeier has been a research assistant at iFE since July 2019. Before studying, he worked as an electronics technician for a mechanical engineering company.

Academic education

Kottmeier completed a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering at the OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts, which he successfully completed in 2019.
