CALL FOR PAPERS

Direct current (DC) is regarded as the future key technology for integrating renewable energy sources into the production process. The avoidance of complex energy conversions within the production process, the simple exchange of energy between energy sources and production systems and individual machines as well as a process-optimised storage connection are the decisive advantages of this technology. The open approach chosen for industrial DC grids by the DC Industry Consortium is a great opportunity for developers, machine builders and plant operators to implement new energy-efficient, highly available, versatile and therefore future-proof concepts for an intelligent energy supply in industry.  The successful DC 2019 conference will be followed by DC=IN 2025, which will focus on " Industrial and Sustainable Direct Current Grids".

Publication will be organised by the VDE-Verlag. In addition, the individual contributions will be published in English on IEEE-Explore.

Aims of the event
•    Inform SMEs about requirements and developments in DC technology and involve them in the development process,
•    present the current state of research of the DC consortium in terms of device technology and grid management and discuss it with participants,
•    Demonstration of DC prototypes and solutions on the exhibition floor and
•    talk about future DC research from 2025.
