Forschungstätigkeit / Research Activity:
Professor Blauth forscht gemeinsam mit seinem Team primär an Grundlagen und Technologien der elektrischen Verbindungstechnik. Er arbeitet eng mit der Industrie der elektrischen Verbindungstechnik und Automobilindustrie zusammen.
Professor Blauth and his team primarily research on the fundamentals and technologies of electrical connection technology. He works closely with the electrical connection technology industry and the automotive industry.
Berufstätigkeit / Employment:
Während seiner Promotion beschäftigte sich Blauth mit parametrisierten Modellen zur konstruktiven Auslegung optimierter elektrischer Steckverbinderkontakte. Im Anschluss arbeitete er bei der Phoenix Contact GmbH & Co. KG in den Bereichen Technologieentwicklung und Produktentwicklung und schließlich als Fachreferent „Kundenspezifische Produktentwicklung“ in der Geräteanschlusstechnik.
Seit 2024 leitet er das Fachgebiet Feinsystemtechnik im Fachbereich Maschinenbau und Mechatronik der Technischen Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe (TH OWL).
During his doctoral studies, Blauth focused on parameterized models for the design of optimized electrical connector contacts. He then worked at Phoenix Contact GmbH & Co. KG in the areas of technology development and product development, and finally as a specialist consultant for “customer-specific product development” in device connection technology.
Since 2024, he has been head of the Precision Engineering department in the Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics division at the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences and Arts (TH OWL).

Blauth hat als Dualer Student an der Technischen Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe Mechatronik studiert.
