Akshay Chikhalkar

Research focus

Akshay Chikhalkar works as a software engineer in the MONOCAB_READY project. He is responsible for software development and testing automation for the MONOCAB system. His work focuses on ensuring robust and scalable automation frameworks that contribute to the reliable operation of the autonomous monorail vehicles.

Professional experience

Prior to joining iFE, Akshay gained experience at international companies including Mitsubishi Motors through Tata Consultancy Services, where he developed simulation and testing tools for telematics control units (TCUs). He later worked at John Deere as a Senior Software Engineer, leading initiatives to optimize software deployment pipelines and application architecture. He also held positions at TH OWL and Hochschule Bielefeld, contributing to DevOps infrastructure, cloud-native development, and data pipeline automation.

Academic Education

Akshay is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Information Technology at TH OWL. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Amravati University, India.
