Akshay Chikhalkar arbeitet als Softwareentwickler im Projekt MONOCAB_READY. Er ist verantwortlich für die Softwareentwicklung und Testautomatisierung des MONOCAB-Systems. Der Schwerpunkt seiner Arbeit liegt auf der Entwicklung robuster und skalierbarer Automatisierungs-Frameworks zur Sicherstellung eines zuverlässigen Betriebs autonomer Monorail-Fahrzeuge.
Akshay Chikhalkar works as a software engineer in the MONOCAB_READY project. He is responsible for software development and testing automation for the MONOCAB system. His work focuses on ensuring robust and scalable automation frameworks that contribute to the reliable operation of the autonomous monorail vehicles.

Berufserfahrung / Professional Experience
Vor seiner Tätigkeit am iFE sammelte Akshay internationale Berufserfahrung, unter anderem bei Mitsubishi Motors im Rahmen seiner Tätigkeit für Tata Consultancy Services. Dort entwickelte er Simulations- und Testtools für Telematik-Steuergeräte (TCUs). Später war er als Senior Software Engineer bei John Deere tätig, wo er Software-Bereitstellungsprozesse und Anwendungsarchitekturen optimierte. Zudem war er als Werkstudent bei der TH OWL und der Hochschule Bielefeld im Bereich DevOps, Cloud-native Entwicklung und Datenpipeline-Automatisierung tätig.
Prior to joining iFE, Akshay gained experience at international companies including Mitsubishi Motors through Tata Consultancy Services, where he developed simulation and testing tools for telematics control units (TCUs). He later worked at John Deere as a Senior Software Engineer, leading initiatives to optimize software deployment pipelines and application architecture. He also held positions at TH OWL and Hochschule Bielefeld, contributing to DevOps infrastructure, cloud-native development, and data pipeline automation.
Akademischer Werdegang / Academic Education
Akshay studiert derzeit im Masterstudiengang Information Technology an der TH OWL. Zuvor absolvierte er ein Bachelorstudium in Elektronik und Telekommunikation an der Amravati University in Indien.
Akshay is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Information Technology at TH OWL. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Amravati University, India.
