Ellen Müntefering-Meier

Research focus

Ellen Müntefering-Meier is researching innovative gamification approaches to promote the commitment of building users to save energy. The aim of the project is to achieve resource savings in heat, electricity and water by promoting sustainable behavior. Participants are sensitized to these topics, which leads to a more mindful use of resources both at OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts (TH OWL) and at home.

Professional career

She has been working alongside her studies at an engineering office in Büren since the beginning of 2022 and began working as a research assistant after completing her Master's degree at the TH OWL in summer 2024.

Academic education

Ellen Müntefering-Meier began her architecture studies at the TH OWL in 2019 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in July 2022. In September 2023, she continued her studies at the TH OWL with a Master of Science in Integrated Architectural Design, which she successfully completed in July 2024.
