Bidirectional DC-Charging

DC grids combined with bidirectional DC wallboxes are paving the way for an efficient, flexible, and sustainable energy system. They enable low-loss energy flows and the direct integration of renewable sources and storage. Bidirectional DC wallboxes connect e-mobility, buildings, and the grid. The keynote will address the potential, examples, and visions for decentralized, resilient DC energy grids from DC nano- to microgrids with the integration of bidirectional charging infrastructure."

Direct Current in the European Union

Direct Current has arrived in the Commission of the European Union. DC Technologies are one of the roughly one dozen “Strategic Energy Technologies Plan” (SET Plan) in the framework of the European Green Deal. This contribution describes the approach of the European Union, especially in the low-voltage DC area. Hartwig Stammberger is also Co-Chair of the subgroup of the SET Plan DC Technologies for low-voltage DC.
