Vita
Before Jürgen Krahl took over the position of President of the OWL University of Applied Sciences in December 2016, he researched and taught at Coburg University in the Faculty for Applied Sciences. He was also University Vice President for Research, Internationalization and Career Service for several years. In addition, he acted as Chief Executive Officer of the Coburg Automotive Technology Transfer Centre (TAC).
Commitment to research
With the Future Energy Institute, OWL University of Applied Sciences is making a contribution to the question of how the energy transition can be achieved. At the same time, the institute is strengthening the university in research, teaching, transfer and interdisciplinarity: Seven professors from four faculties are participating - their expertise ranges from A for architecture to Z for Zukunftsenergien (future energies).
Students can also get involved in the institute, especially through bachelor's, master's and doctoral theses. They also benefit from numerous partnerships with companies that already exist and will be further expanded in the future. And last but not least, current insights and results from research flow directly into teaching. All in all: The Future Energy Institute shows once again that the OWL University of Applied Sciences has its finger on the pulse.
