EnOB Monitoring - Energy-optimized construction: redevelopment of Detmold Vocational College into a plus-energy school.
The aim of the project is to analyse and optimize the operation of the Detmold Vocational College, which has been redeveloped into a plus-energy school, in terms of comfort and energy consumption based on measurements within the scope of the EnOB intensive monitoring.
The metering and monitoring concept includes the documentation of consumption as well as operating data for the understanding and continuous optimization of the school operation, but places a special focus on a dedicated monitoring of two classrooms, in which indoor climates and operating modes are compared with thermodynamic simulations. This pursues the goal of analysing the potential of low-tech measures in school building concepts. The systems and control algorithms which are needed in schools to provide comfort, how they can be compensated for by alternative, resource-efficient and low-tech economic measures, and how much user responsibility is reasonable for the students and teachers are being investigated. Particular emphasis is placed on the identification of potentials and limitations of passive measures in school buildings, which are redeveloped in accordance with the passive house requirements.
