Floatation dryers - Energy-efficient flotation dryers for painting and impregnating plants; Development of a process-influencing nozzle technology for the curing and drying of lacquer and impregnation layers

Duration
-

During both painting and the impregnation process, a carrier layer made of paper is coated with a lacquer or synthetic resin to be cured, in order ultimately to be able to produce a medium with a hard, abrasion-resistant, generally glossy and water-resistant surface.

After the carrier layer has passed through the actual "commissioned work" and the paint or the resin / hardener mixture has been applied, the resulting "substrate" must be dried. The peculiarity here is that during this drying process, the not yet cured surface of the wet paper must not touch any supporting members (e.g. rollers) in order to obtain a uniformly smooth surface or even to prevent the paper web perhaps "sticking" to a conveyor roller.
