The aim of the project is to develop a catalog of measures that identifies, quantifies and evaluates innovative measures (“building blocks”) from the disciplines of architecture, building physics and climate, energy systems and sustainable components for building construction. The relevant building blocks for resource-conserving construction and operation will be examined, evaluated and, if necessary, optimized in the course of a later monitoring phase in terms of measurement and simulation technology. Above all, the investigation accelerates the transferability to existing and future museum buildings. For this reason, the results of the calculations and evaluations carried out here are prepared and disseminated for others in a clear and comprehensible manner with regard to the effectiveness of individual sustainability modules. The new entrance and exhibition building is intended to build an important bridge between contemporary and historical architecture in order to offer new didactic opportunities to raise awareness of sustainable living for users.
