Rainer Rasche is the new iFE board member
For his professorship “Mechatronics and Electromechanics”, Rainer Rasche was appointed to the Technical University of East Westphalia-Lippe on July 1st, 2019. Rainer Rasche has been an associated member of the iFE board since autumn 2019. In January 2021, Rasche was elected as a full member of the iFE board.
With a focus on prototype and method development, dimensioning of components and electrical drive systems, Rasche conducts research in the areas of design and testing of mechatronic systems and sustainable recycling of electronic components.
Rasche studied mechanical engineering at the University of Paderborn with a focus on mechatronics, at the Western Michigan University, USA and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d´Arts et Métiers, Paris. During his studies he dealt with methods and software development for the design of mechatronic systems. In his doctorate, he designed decentralized strategies for autonomous vehicles to cross an intersection with regard to different quality criteria.
