Simon Cepin

Research focus

Simon Cepin deals with power electronic circuits for the use of regenerative energy, efficiency-optimized switching power supply technologies and automated test tubes for recording efficiency characteristics of power semiconductors. Another focus is on the design, simulation and construction of cooling systems for power electronics.

Professional career

Before starting his studies in 2011, Simon completed training as an electronics technician for automation technology at Weidmüller Interface GmbH & Co.KG in Detmold. During his bachelor's degree, he worked as a student assistant in the power electronics and electrical drives working group at the OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts (TH OWL), during which he switched to research assistant in 2015.

Academic education

Simon completed his bachelor's degree in electronics with a focus on automation technology at the TH-OWL in 2014. He then started a master's degree in mechatronic systems at the TH-OWL, which he successfully completed in 2017.
