Aufbauend auf Spitzenkompetenzen in dem Bereich Energieforschung wird am Campus der TH OWL ein Forschungszentrum für postfossile Mobilität und Energieträger im ländlichen Raum entstehen. Das Mobilitätszentrum UrbanLand (MZL) wird Wissenschaftlern, öffentlichen und industriellen Entscheidungsträgern sowie der Gesamtgesellschaft die Möglichkeit bieten, technologieoffen an einer multimodalen, vernetzten und nachhaltigen Mobilität zu forschen. Konkret soll ein Forschungsgebäude auf höchstem technischem Niveau entstehen, das alle notwendigen Infrastrukturen bietet, um anwendungsnahe FuE-Projekte zur postfossilen Mobilität und Energieträger zu ermöglichen.
