Pro Ergo - Ergonomic design of production machines in the context of Industry 4.0

With the establishment of the research focus »ProErgo - Ergonomic design of production machines in the context of Industry 4.0«, the aim is to explore together with manufacturers, operators and users of production machines, innovative ergonomic standards for production machines and their operation, to test these technical and organizational standards within the framework of machine prototypes and to use exemplary ergonomically designed production machines (»Best Practice«) for demonstration purposes.

In addition, methods that support the process of ergonomic design - from the product idea to machine concepts and prototypes to the completion of a machine - are to be (further) developed. In particular, these should integrate the user view of machine operators, programmers, maintenance or logistics employees into the development process in order to carry out a prospective ergonomic design.
